During the summer of 2021 we introduced the KEETEC BS 420, as the most universal parking assistant ever. The new product took the market research into consideration and brought the significant innovations, while the former intelligent features were retained, or improved even more. Its versatility allows the wide range of applications for many vehicle types, for different installation locations and includes the functions to get over the specifics of various cars.
Front or Rear
The system can be set up (and installed afterwards) as the rear, or as the front asisstant. Its possible to change the system from rear to front, simply by using a jumper on the control unit.
Also for 24 Volts
BS 420 is suitable for the passenger cars and the vans, but also a lorry installation is not a problem now, because the unit supports 12V/24V. If the vehicle is long, the additional extension cables are available, which extend the use for the distance of up to 10 meters.
The sensors you like
The standard package comes with 18,5mm sensors and the angle correction rings of 0°, 4°, 10° for the best horizontal aiming by each bumper shape. Optionally the system is supplied with the „flush mount“ sensors with just 16mm in diameter, to achieve the perfectly unseen, sleek design. The customer can choose from the basic sensor colors (matt black, white, silver, or glossy black), but the sensors can be repainted in any color in a car paint shop.
Intelligent features
The system provides two options how to cope with an obstacle firmly attached to the car (tow-bar, spare wheel or nudge bars). With „Dual intelligent function“ on, the detection is moved 20cm more behind, so the tow-bar will not be detected anymore. The „Learning function“ on the other hand, will remember all the stationary obstacles and will ignore them.
The „Self-test function“ provides an automatic sensors test each time when the system is active. Moreover, if it is necessary to install the sensors too low, it is possible to set the „reduced sensitivity“ to avoid the false detection from the ground.
Long detection range
The 2,59-meter long detection zone (for the LCD version) is more than a driver could expect while reversing – the actual distance value will just appear on the display. The acoustic signal will come out then only, if the car comes within the distance of 1,5 meters to detected object. The voice alerts can also be turned on, to inform the driver of the current distance by a voice.
Minimalistic design
The tiny neat graphic display (LCD version) with just 32mm height, will not disturb the interior of a car, perfectly merge with the dashboard if turned off, but ready to display an obstacle within the detection zone with maximum accuracy, while turned on.
Note: When installing the parking assist in the front bumper, it is necessary to add EXT CABLE KIT extension cables (not included).
